My portraits display figures in their own element gazing back at the viewer. These portrait works are an exploration of his own emotions, made to represent the pressure to change oneself by an external force that actively enforces change upon its subjects. It is a rejection of judgement by the viewer and with that, a rejection of the inherent power dynamics surrounding art and identity. With his series “LOOK ALIV”, I use vibrant colors to embed their messaging within a mosaic of colorful eyes and mouths reflecting a culture of visual consumption back onto the viewer, largely on 1 of 1 vintage clothing pieces. These works aim to be more accessible to the community and digestible through being represented as apparel, or augmented for use as stickers. I aim to work with the Off The Wall Artists Collective and build upon this goal. Stop in During ArtWalk Weekend for Interactive Art Workshops including, large group paintings, wood carving, origami, and clothing painting. Acoustic music Wearable art fashion show |
