Shapes Gradient
Exploration of color, balance, and time with hand made water based paint on natural canvas.

The current painting series by Ryan Alexandre Snow titled "Shapes Gradient" explores the realms of visual space, time, and balance through monochromatic shapes of color on natural canvas. With a seamless blend of abstract minimalism and organic textures, each painting invites viewers on a reflective journey of inner peace. Within this meditative series, Ryan masterfully orchestrates the interplay of minimal repeating elements, balancing form and layering, color and gradient. Through his intuitive brushstrokes, he captures the fluidity of motion, creating a suspended sense of time where past, present, and future converge. With this body of work he also commits an environmental focus on source materials including making his own paint from earth pigments collected near and far with local foraged ochres from the mountains of Ojai to traditional indigos from Japan.

Performances

Live music by Electric Coyote Orchestra, a Woodland Hills based musician who performs an ambient meditative soundscape that will accentuate the artwork.

Started by two brothers from Ventura, California, Aion Naturals began as an idea borne of necessity while care-giving for our grandfather, Raymonde. Physicians diagnosed him with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2015. In addition to a worsening mental state, Raymonde also suffered from persistent back and hip pain resulting from his work at Dunlop Tire. To reduce the physical discomfort, he was prescribed opioid pain medication. After starting opioids even though he was taking his medication as prescribed, new symptoms appeared that coincided with known withdrawal side effects, some of which are: perspiration, mood swings, constipation and irregular sleep.
Raymonde’s side effects were severe enough that we were forced to find an alternative. To combat pain, Raymonde chose CBD. In our experience, we found CBD was able to lessen his pain as effectively as opioids without the side effects.
Consulting with a physician, we tapered Raymonde from opioid pills while increasing CBD dose — noticing minimal change to his pain levels. In a matter of days, he no longer suffered terrible mood swings and night terrors which added to the dementia confusion. He stopped having withdrawal side effects, his sleep returned to normal, his appetite reappeared and his quality of life improved drastically.
With its therapeutic qualities, CBD allowed Raymonde to shift from opioid pills to plant-based pain management. 
After witnessing the effects first hand, with the idea that everyone should have access to nontoxic plant medicine and other health-giving ingredients, we formed Aion Naturals.
