Lois Freeman-Fox
I am obsessed with drawing: the gesture of a figure, a tree, an animal, a body of water is what inspires me to paint.
My work includes landscape painting en plein air, alla prima so that the paint doesn't dry before the light changes, figurative and portrait paintings live from a model and more recently multi figure paintings based upon drawings and photographs developed in the studio. I also do preliminary studies in gouache, watercolor and charcoal.
