About the Friends of the Library
Ventura Friends of the Library will have several original works of art for sale by local Plein air watercolor painter, Susan Stoutz. Susan has been a member of California Gold Coast Watercolor Society, Buenaventura Art Association, and Ventura Artist Guild. Her works capture the light of day and season of landscapes from Ventura, the Sierra Nevada, and across the United States.
"An integral part of being an artist is a desire to share with others my vision of what I see, and hope they will love it as much as I do." -Susan Stoutz Also presented by Friends of the Library will be works created by Susan's husband, Hank Stoutz. Hank is a nature photographer, creating images through travel to out of the way places. "Perhaps the greatest satisfaction has been in being able to "see" subjects in uncommon ways and to record and share those images." -Hank Stoutz Ventura Friends of the Library is a non-profit, volunteer run organization. They raise funds through the sale of used books at their book store 2nd Look Books, located at EP Foster Library. The collections of Susan and Hank Stoutz were generously donated by the artists. All proceeds go to fund local library programs. VISION STATEMENT
