Art is built into the experience at The Yard. Throughout the venue, visitors will discover vibrant murals and immersive artwork by legendary West Coast graffiti pioneer Kelly “RISK” Graval (RISK ROCK).
Known for his explosive use of color and roots in Los Angeles graffiti culture, RISK has helped take graffiti from the streets into galleries and contemporary art spaces around the world. At The Yard, his signature work transforms walls, patio spaces and shipping containers into a bold, colorful environment where street art, food and Ventura culture come together.

At The Yard Bar & Grill, creativity doesn’t stop with the artwork on our walls — it carries right into our kitchen. We’re proud to showcase the artwork of our very own Chef Ben Barron, the creative force behind so much of what comes out of The Yard kitchen. Chef Ben brings the same passion and imagination to food that an artist does to his painting. From our homemade sauces and dressings to dishes prepared from scratch, we believe the best things are made with love, creativity and a little personality. Since opening our doors, The Yard has become a staple in Downtown Ventura — a place to gather, eat, drink, listen to music and feel part of the community. During the Downtown Ventura ArtWalk, we invite you to stop in, experience Chef Ben’s food enjoy something delicious, and see the creativity behind The Yard — both on the walls and on the plate. |
