We are a local painting group of amateur and professional artists that paints on location around Ventura County. Artists use any media and methods they choose and supply all their own materials. Since we're making art outside, weather is a factor. In our "toolkits" we also pack sun hats, sunscreen, water, and sun umbrellas. We leave no trace behind! Most of our artwork is small (8x10 or 11x14) in order to finish on-site all in one go. Our local nature preserves, historic sites, harbors, and farms of Ventura County attract us. Our coordinator, Laura Jespersen, scouts locations and details, and makes up our schedule to meet somewhere each week.
