Helle Scharling-Todd
Helle Scharling-Todd is a Danish-American contemporary glass and mosaic artist who has created public artworks around the world. She regularly teaches and exhibits her work internationally. Helle was the lead artist for the two gateway columns on our Ventura Avenue. She also created the large mosaic mural on the Avenue Senior Center. Her swirling wave mosaic provides interest to the entry floor of the Port Hueneme Public Library. Her motto is to "bring a poetic dimension to a public place."
For her smaller fine art pieces, Helle works with mosaics; glass, ranging from stained, sandblasted, and fused glass; as well as iron work that incorporate glass into the design.
