Description

Danielle White
Danielle White is a Ventura native. She attended Ventura College in 2001-2003. In 2003 she completed her first mural painting on the VC pool wall with the All American logo with names to honor the ALL American swimmers, divers, and water polo players. The project along with the support of her family and friends motivated her to continue her studies in art. In 2003 she tansferred to California Lutheran University where she studied her passion. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from CLU in 2006. Since then, Danielle has committed to honing her skills in using acrylic paint. In 2020 she illustrated her first children's book, Sunny Your'e Too Bright, written by her husband, Jimmy White and dedicated to their son Lucas White.

Danielle's artwork is full of vivid colors. She is inspired by nature and the things that spark joy in her life. Danielle experiments with brushstrokes, shapes, and of course color. You can find a lot of dark curves and lines in her work, while other pieces have looser and softer touches. She also enjoys vibrant portrait work of those who have inspired her as an artist.

Danielle currently resides in Ventura with her three-year-old son Lucas, and husband Jimmy. She has been a special education teacher for over ten years and loves using her creativity in the classroom. She has spent this past summer cultivating her art and this body of work displays a variety of new and old for all to enjoy.
