From my studio to your home - Cindy Bolin
Art changes our lives and brings possibilities. It brought me adventure, joy and love. I design and make work for the woman who want to express her own unique style and individuality. Born in Flint, Michigan, creativity was in the air around my home, my mother and my sister inspired me with fine arts and incredible seamstress work. Then, as a teen learning plumbing and industrial skills from my father gave me a well-balanced background. As an adult, I went to Santa Barbara City College and studied costume design and printmaking. From there, onto UCSB, Economics and art history. I traveled throughout America and Europe. The exposure to architecture, color, form and texture became the foundation for my work. My ideas come from everywhere, music, fairy tales, spirituality and much more. In the 80's, I set up my studio in Santa Barbara and at the same time, started doing arts/crafts shows, where I exhibited and sold my work. From the past 30 years, I've built a reputation on listening to my clients and creating pieces for them or someone special in their life. I combine traditional materials like gold, silver, gems with non traditional materials including bakelite, antique carved shell cameos, antique chocolate molds, copper and bronze. I design and make each piece in my studio at my home. I create pieces to enhance your own particular brand of beauty. My clients are bold and confident. I love what I do. Let me design and make something special for you. Enjoy! |
