My work is abstract painting on both canvas and board. Recently I have been including some figurative aspects but still abstract. After many years in Portland, Oregon where I created my studio pottery called Barlow Pottery, with many shows and awards, there eventually my path changed and I moved from ceramics to painting and left Portland for Ventura where I have been working/creating art for over 10 years. I continue to experiment, always following new ideas. abstract work does challenge the viewer, engaging in many new ways.
