I’ve been making art all my life, majored in fine art in college. Drawing, painting, photography, collage, sculpture - I’ve explored many methods of expression, based on my interests at each point in my life. Recently, I’ve been working with fabrics. I quilt and do fabric collage, with embroidery and beading. I’m presently inspired by the fantastic plants and cacti of my new home, the Santa Monica Mountains, especially cacti. I grew up in Poland and then lived in Chicago for most of my life, where gardening was one of my favorite activities, but Midwest gardens look very different than those of Southern California. Now I grow various cacti and succulents in my Malibu home garden and they inspire my cactus art.

​Kylee Autotte: I am an artist and graphic designer from Ventura, Ca who is a recent graduate of CSUCI. I focus on oil painting, print-making and drawing. I get most of my inspiration from my favorite local places and the people I love. I like to highlight the emotions I have for these scenes or people through vibrant color and fluid like brush strokes or lines.

Jake Ryno: I am a Ventura based artist and graphic designer who primarily focuses on acrylic painting. The art I create is inspired by the local community around me. I make ambiguous narrative figure paintings typically on black canvas to highlight the light of the figure or scene.

I'm 22 and I just graduated from Exceptional Minds Academy where my focus was VFX and 3D modeling.  I'm an artist, scuba diver, and avid birdwatcher and my art is inspired by nature.  I use pencil, marker, and pastels and many of my printed drawings are of birds, but I also have a shark, monarch butterfly, and dragon.  I really enjoy developing the amazing colors, texture, lines, and shape in their feathering.  I sell my original drawings in limited edition, numbered prints which are matted in complementary colors and also on notecards.  I premiered four new designs this past fall and I hope have a couple more ready for 2025.  I also love sculpting, mask-making, painting — pretty much anything creative.

Something that may make me unique is that I'm autistic.  I feel lucky to get to participate in community events because I feel it's important for people to know that autistic people can have awesome strengths that may just not be easy to see.  I really love when other autistic people, or their family and friends, share their experiences with me...or just want me to know that they're autistic, too.  Because many of my drawings are birds, I also meet so many bird lovers and birdwatchers, and I really enjoy that.

My name is Silva, I’m 25 born and raised in Ventura and Ojai. I’m a self taught artist and have been painting all my life. I spend my free time painting for hours in the morning and being outside. I use my painting to help me process things in my life and get out of my head. My goal with my art is to help connect people to emotions, which is something I think unites as all as we are all human, regardless of upbringings, different beliefs and lifestyles, we all experience the same emotions, in different forms.

As an actor and improviser, I approach painting in the spirit of "Yes, and...," creating my pieces by tapping into the moment. Using only a color pallete as my plan, I let the paint guide me to create pieces that are filled with bright colors and whimsy. I typically add fine- line ink to outline each brush stroke- a practice that started as a way to not give up on myself, and it has evolved into a reminder that we can all create beauty if we don't let our perfectionism be the enemy of creativity!
