Paul Lindhard
As a longtime patron of the arts, mentor, and founder of Art City Studios, Paul Lindhard has dedicated his career to fostering creativity and supporting fellow artists. He established his first studio in Santa Barbara before relocating to West Ventura, where Art City Studios has become a vibrant hub for artists and an enduring source of inspiration for the community.
An accomplished visual artist and master sculptor, Paul has devoted his life to celebrating the beauty of art and the natural world. His work reflects a deep respect for nature, transforming ancient monolithic stones — formed over billions of years — into sculptures that reveal their timeless beauty. Through his art and his studio, Paul invites visitors to experience his creative vision and the remarkable relationship between nature and artistic expression.
Paul's commitment extends well beyond his own artwork. As the recipient of the 2007 Artist in the Community Award, he has played a leading role in numerous public art projects that have enriched Ventura's cultural landscape. His contributions include the Welcome to Ventura signage, the Main Street bus shelter, the Sheridan Way Elementary School Outdoor Classroom, the Gary Channer Memorial at the Ventura Botanical Gardens, the Cemetery Memorial Park stone and signage installation, and many other community projects. Through these works, Paul has helped shape Ventura into one of the Central Coast's most vibrant centers for the arts.

 Art City Studios – A Living Sculpture Garden

Nestled in the heart of Ventura, Art City Studios is a unique fusion of sculpture park, garden sanctuary, and active outdoor art studios. Founded and led by visionary sculptor Paul Lindhard, Art City is a creative haven where monumental stone sculptures, carved monoliths, and site-specific installations rise organically from the landscape.

Visitors are invited to explore a dynamic environment where the raw power of stone meets the refined touch of skilled hands. The grounds feature an ever-evolving collection of work by Art City’s resident and visiting artists, including large-scale stone carvings, wood sculptures, paintings, and prints —many of which are available for purchase.

New to the collection is a striking series of hand-carved stone planters by Kevin Carman and luminous onyx lamps by Paul Lindhard, offering a fusion of art and function that brings the natural beauty of sculpted stone into everyday spaces.
