Paint Ventura's Landmark in this ever popular and fun Painting Party. Each student will paint their own soft or dramatic sky and hillside that the two icon's live atop. Choose to paint a more realistic set of trees or a fanciful pair. You will learn to create clouds, distance in your hills and fun little trees. Join us for a fun adventure in painting with Red Brick Gallery's Painting Parties. You will learn the techniques to paint your own Acrylic painting, you can choose your own colors and add your own flair to your painting. What makes our parties unique is that we all start with the same theme, but everyone's piece will turn out different, you really have a chance to make it your own!
A New Chapter represents a variety of artists who have a fresh perspective on their art career with a new body of work created specifically for Red Brick Gallery's 78th exhibit. About the Venue:
Red Brick Gallery's vision is to expose the local community to unique art by California artists working in all 2 and 3 dimensional mediums.
Red Brick Gallery is a Family Owned Gallery, opened in December 2006 by Jen and Phyllis. Over the years we have represented over 200 artists, featuring emerging and mid-career artists who have not yet acquired mainstream exposure. We strive to create an enjoyable art experience that is stimulating and unique; where the public can appreciate and purchase artworks from a variety of unique artists.
Beyond showcasing artists Red Brick also features a variety of creative classes for all levels of artists and ages. Each week you can experience a new creative teacher and style with our classes in a variety of painting techniques, mosaics, pastels, photography and Photoshop. We offer a variety of classes from Private Individual Instruction to traditional classes of 3-8 people and even Painting Parties of 15-35 people. We invite creative people of any level to join us in a fun new creative art class.
Each year we partner with several local non-profit creating awareness for the organization, as well as raise money to help them flourish. Some of the organizations we are most excited about partnering with are the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, Independent Lab Rescue, SPAN, FoodShare, Ventura Education Partnership among others.
In 2011 we also launched Paint Ventura a downtown Ventura Plein Air Event featuring a weekend filled with artists creating, selling and teaching along the sidewalks and in the parks. Over 100 artists and several thousand spectators participated in Spring Paint Ventura, we hope you can join us the last weekend of April for our next festival www.PaintVentura.com.
"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." ~Scott Adams
A portion of all dog and cat work sold at Red Brick Gallery is donated to SPARK and Grey Foot Rescue both local charities helping the animals in Ventura County find their forever homes.
We are partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Ventura and provide monthly art classes to all 4 clubs teaching 80 students a month the value of art and self expression.
