Dr. Victor Pina Tabío has attended numerous International Colloquiums on Ernest Hemingway in Cuba. He will share his passion for this unforgettable American author who called Cuba home for over 20 years. Hemingway considered himself “un cubano sato”, a simple Cuban. He loved the country and Cuba still loves him. Known as “Mr. Way" by the fisherman in Cojimar, with whom he spent time on his boat “El Pilar”, Hemingway donated his historical home, Finca Vigía, to the Cuban people, along with his 1954 Nobel Prize for literature. The memory of Ernest Hemingway will be forever present in the soul of Cuba and its people.
The lecture takes place tonight 7/12 at 6:30 PM at the EP Foster Library. The cost is free. Topping Room - E.P. Foster Library 651 E. Main Street, Downtown Ventura
