Two months later, the plans were approved. Construction began immediately. But as the dreams of the Revolution came face-to-face with the hard realities of sustaining it, construction soon halted. The architects and their radical designs were seen as elitist by the Ministry of Construction, a serious liability in the prevailing political atmosphere. "Unfinished Spaces" chronicles this fascinating history through the return to Cuba, forty years later, of the three exiled designers, hoping to complete their unrealized dream.
