Didn't make it out to ArtWalk Ventura yesterday during the much needed rain? No need to worry- we are ramping up for day 2 as we speak and there is still plenty to offer. Kicking off at 12 PM and going until 5 PM, the forecast calls for 78° and partly cloudy skies- perfect for perusing the streets of Ventura to check our local arts scene.

UNFINISHED SPACES: In 1961, two years after the Cuban Revolution, three visionary young architects were commissioned by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara to create a National Art School on a former private golf course in Havana. Two months later, the plans were approved. Construction began immediately. But as the dreams of the Revolution came face-to-face with the hard realities of sustaining it, construction soon halted. The architects and their radical designs were seen as elitist by the Ministry of Construction, a serious liability in the prevailing political atmosphere. "Unfinished Spaces" chronicles this fascinating history through the return to Cuba, forty years later, of the three exiled designers, hoping to complete their unrealized dream. Visiting Cuba artist Pedro Pulido & Cuban historian Victor Pina Tabio also will attend.
Q&A will follow.
Food Truck, Beer and Wine available for purchase in Museum Courtyard.
